Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)

HSE is a fundamental value of the way we work.

Goal Zero

We promote a culture in which every person is responsible for working safely, following established standards and intervening when they identify a risky situation or condition.

Our commitment is to protect people, the communities where we operate, the environment and the integrity of our operations.

Our aspiration is to achieve Goal Zero: preventing incidents that could affect people, the environment or our assets.

This commitment rests on three fundamental behaviors:

  • Following established procedures, standards and work instructions to carry out every task safely and responsibly.

  • Intervening when we identify a risky situation or condition, acting promptly to prevent unwanted consequences.

  • Respecting the people we work with and the communities where we operate, promoting a safe, inclusive and responsible work environment.

Health

We promote comprehensive care for people's health and well-being, preventing work-related risks and encouraging healthy environments and habits.

Personal Safety

We promote early risk identification and the adoption of safe behaviors to protect the integrity of people in all our activities and locations.

Process Safety

We prevent major incidents by managing the risks of our processes and ensuring the integrity of our facilities and the reliability of our operations.

Environment

We work to reduce our environmental footprint, using resources responsibly and minimizing the emissions, waste and impacts of our operations.

12 Life-Saving Rules

The Life-Saving Rules come from the lessons learned by analyzing serious accidents in the industry and set essential guidelines to prevent high-consequence incidents.

Complying with them reflects our commitment to working safely, intervening in risky situations and stopping a task when the conditions to carry it out are not met, thus contributing to our Goal Zero.

Because we believe every incident can be prevented and that safety is everyone's responsibility.
